Cajun Shrimp Tacos
Putting a Cajun twist on a true fan favorite. Who says tacos are only for Tuesdays?
I have a confession…..I love tacos. I love tacos in the morning, I love tacos in the afternoon, and I love tacos at nighttime. I love tacos hot and I love tacos ice cold. In conclusion…I love tacos.
However, and don’t shoot me, tacos can be repetitive. Everything can use a little jazzing up, I mean variety is the spice of life, right? With that being said, allow me to introduce Cajun Shrimp Tacos. This idea came to me as a variation of Bone Fish Grill’s Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. If you have never had them, please stop doing yourself a disservice! Anyways back to my tacos. My Cajun tacos are a fun remix to an everyday classic. You can still pair this with your margarita, chips and salsa, guacamole, or a nice salad like I did.

Cajun Shrimp Tacos
Makes about 8 tacos
Ingredients:
- 16oz Medium shrimp
- 8 Tortillas (I used soft tortillas)
- Shredded lettuce
- 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
- Spring onions, chopped
- 1 Teaspoon of Minced Garlic
- Seasonings - 2 Tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons of Old Bay
- 2 Tablespoons of Adobo
- 2 Tablespoons of Garlic Powder
- 2 Tablespoons of Onion Powder

- 2 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
- Sauce - Creamy Chipotle Sauce (I used sauce found in Target, Creamy Chipotle Sauce - 8.4oz - Good & Gather™ : Target)
- 1 Tablespoon Honey

Instructions:
- Clean and rinse shrimp. Peel and devein shrimp if necessary.
- Season shrimp with above listed seasonings. Make sure to stir the shrimp and seasonings to ensure the shrimp is evenly coated. If need be, add additional seasoning.
- Use olive oil to coat pan. Once oil is hot, sauté shrimp until evenly cooked, usually about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- While your shrimp is cooking, in a bowl mix creamy chipotle sauce (as much as you like) and honey.
- Begin to assemble the tacos with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shrimp, and sauce to top.
- Enjoy!
